Product Description Create a cathedral of music under a haven of stars with this resonant Gregorian Soprano Chime. Tuned to a medieval scale that calls to mind the vocal music of a gothic era, the chime has 8 tubes for an exceptionally rich sound. Part of a Gregorian Chime series, the soprano chime harmonizes beautifully with others including the Gregorian Alto Chime and Gregorian Tenor Chime (each sold separately). Get all 3 for a truly moving musical experience. Made of elegant cherry wood and silver-color aluminum tubes. Imported. 18L".
Amazon.com Review The sounds of nature are sweet, but the music of chirping birds, chattering squirrels, and rustling leaves is even sweeter when accompanied by Woodstock's Gregorian soprano computer-tuned wind chimes. These silver chimes play medieval soprano notes inspired by the Gregorian chants of Europe. Company founder Garry Kvistad has developed an advanced method of tuning used on every Woodstock chime: each tube is analyzed digitally with a microphone under the tube measuring the frequency, and cutters are instructed to remove just the right amount of material to produce the most precise tuning possible. The result is a purer, more harmonious sound. All Woodstock wind chimes are made in the USA from nonendangered hardwoods treated to endure season after season of outdoor use. Woodstock prides itself on being a socially responsible company, explaining that "through the sale of our chimes we proudly support the arts, as well as many environmental and humanitarian causes." Add a hint of Gregorian mystery to your yard or garden while contributing to the harmony of the earth. --Ariel Meadow Stallings

Lovely sound yet smaller. March 12, 2008 This set is lovely and well made, however I wish there had been a picture that had given me an idea of the scale as I would have bought a larger set.
Very Magical August 29, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is one of the most Beautiful wind chimes I have heard...It does sound like real music,,not just clanging...Does not take very much wind to work its magic...I am considering purchasing the alto version of this chime...I very highly recommend this product....It is a joy to listen to...
Beautiful! August 2, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This has 8 tubes/chimes, rather than the usual 6, and you can tell the difference! In addition, I got the Gregorian Alto Chime (at another site), which also has 8 chimes. When the two windchimes play together . . . Heaven!
beautiful sound April 25, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The only drawback to these chimes is that they sound so beautiful when they are swaying in the wind that you will have an unavoidable urge to buy the alto tenor and baritone as well. Well, the other possible drawback is that your other chimes will sound like noise. The soprano has a beautiful almost magical note and the tuning is amazing. They are well made and although I can't yet tell you how they wear, the feel of the chimes itself is like handling a musical instrument.
Beautiful Sound, Not at All Annoying January 22, 2006 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I mainly use windchimes as a feng shui cure, but have always had problems with the clanging sounds keeping me awake at night and distracting/annoying me during the day. Woodstock's Gregorian Soprano Chimes are the most pleasant and soft-sounding chimes I have ever heard, and are of a tone consistent with the soothing sounds of nature. They do not disturb at all, and I have to actually listen for them to realize that are singing because they are so gentle sounding. I have several outside my home and one in an interior hallway. Highly recommended.
