Product Description
Deep and hypnotic. The baritone is the largest of our Gregorian Chimes. Tuned to a medieval scale, our Gregorian Chimes echo the vocal music of the gothic era, sung to accompany meditation in the churches of Europe since the late 8th century. Each chime has eight tubes for an exceptionally rich sound, and each one harmonizes with the others, so they sound absolutely wonderful together! Our most popular chime series. 56'' tall Baritone chime with 8 anodized aluminum tubes.

Amazon.com Review
Combining elegant music with excellent craftsmanship, this Gregorian baritone chime from Woodstock Percussion brings rich harmonies to your gazebo or veranda. Each chime is designed by a professional musician, handcrafted for exceptional quality, and precision-tuned through a digital process. Even the frequencies at which the tubes vibrate have been integrated to achieve the ideal musical intervals. The tones of this chime?-tuned to a medieval baritone scale?-are warm and deep, with no tinniness or flat spots. The cherry-wood top piece and anodized aluminum create a strong construction, while the wind catcher disks produce music even in the lightest breezes. Woodstock weather-protects all parts for a long life and enduring harmonies. --Emily Bedard

1 out of 5 stars Do NOT buy these Chinese chimes   June 15, 2007

Well, fellow nature lovers, these chimes are not for you. I lusted for Woodstock chimes for years: made in America, finest materials, etc. etc., so last week I splurged, only the best. But Woodstock Chimes (upstate New York), are not made in upstate New York of the finest materials, by happy hippies; no, they are made of lousy, fake materials in China, probably by children. Out of the box, the thin, polyester strings broke, torn from the cheap little tacks that held the heavy (but weirdly -painted shiny "silver") tubes to the wood.

I've returned them; we'll see what happens, but don't make my mistake.

4 out of 5 stars Woodstock windchime   May 17, 2007

The Woodstock Percussion windchimes appear well made, they are fairly easy to hang, they do need a bit of room. They have a very pleasant sound, much more mellow to me than those small tinkly sounding chimes.
