Product Description A hip twist on the traditional wind chime, this talented chime can really sing the blues. From the 1920s on, Chicago's boogie-woogie blues inspired generations of musicians to create their own style. The Chicago Blues Chime captures this energy and creativity by playing the notes of the bass line so familiar in Chicago's boogie-woogie blues. The perfect gift for your favorite blues fan, the chime is made of 5 silver-color aluminum tubes and elegant cherry wood. Imported. 25L".
Amazon.com Review The sounds of nature are sweet, but the music of chirping birds, chattering squirrels, and rustling leaves is even sweeter when accompanied by Woodstock's Chicago Blues computer-tuned wind chimes. These chimes play the notes of the walking bass line inspired by Chicago's boogie-woogie blues, as a tribute to the Windy City's distinct blues style and the generations of musicians it inspired. Company founder Garry Kvistad has developed an advanced method of tuning used on every Woodstock chime: each tube is analyzed digitally with a microphone under the tube measuring the frequency, and cutters are instructed to remove just the right amount of material to produce the most precise tuning possible. The result is a purer, more harmonious sound. All Woodstock wind chimes are made in the USA from nonendangered hardwoods treated to endure season after season of outdoor use. Woodstock prides itself on being a socially responsible company, explaining that "through the sale of our chimes we proudly support the arts, as well as many environmental and humanitarian causes." Add a hint of Chicago blues to your yard or garden while contributing to the harmony of the earth.

Sweet! October 18, 2008 Here in the Owens Valley, windchimes can be a problem. Much of the time we have a gentle breeze. Within a matter of minutes, that gentle breeze can turn into some ferocious winds that turn the sky brown with dust. Most windchimes with a dangling clacker are torn to pieces within a month or two. Windchimes sold locally tend to be solid bars or tubes hanging from a single crossmember, with no clacker at all. These won't even make a sound unless the wind is fairly strong. The Woodstock Chicago Blues windchime makes beautiful music in the gentlest breeze, and holds up to our ferocious windstorms without flailing wildly... Still making that same beautiful music. The sound is so sweet that I actually recorded a segment to play as background sound in my Kwan. Aaaaand... I play Blues Bass, so there you have it.
Cheers, Drew
windchime October 1, 2008 I LOVE THE WINDCHIME.IT TOURNED OUT BETTER THAN I EXSPECTED. I WANT TO GET ANOTHER ONE.
A great chime. February 28, 2008 My sister had bought our Mom a smaller chime from this manufacture many years ago. When our Mom passed away it was one of the few things that we could all enjoy and remind us of her. A while back it broke along with most of the chimes out our house and my sisters house.
So, we wanted to get something new and wanted to find a replacement for the broken little chime. Well, they don't make the small chime anymore, but they make this one. It is much louder than the little one but it has a very nice tone and catches plenty of wind.
I would recommend that everyone treat the wood every so often with a simple protectant, but be careful of the string, it can break and ruin your chime.
Cicago Blues Chime March 9, 2007 Bought this for myself. Love the way this sounds. Even a gentle wind makes a very melodic sound.
